Preparing Your Computer For Remote Control

When you have trouble with your computer, you usually want help right away. If I can help you over the phone, I certainly will. However, sometimes, I just have to see what your computer is doing in order to assist you properly.

Before the days of remote control software, this meant scheduling a time, convenient to both of our schedules, when I could visit your office and work on your computer. I still visit client sites regularly. However, more and more, I can get you the answers you need within minutes of your initial call, via remote control.

I use the LogMeIn.com remote control service for all my client remote control work. It's safe, it's convenient, and it's free. It does require that a small program be installed on your computer. However, once you have it installed, I can easily connect into your computer while we're speaking on the phone, and we can both operate the keyboard and mouse, just as if I were sitting beside you. For most of my clients, this is the best method of support.
